NYSMF Programs

At NYSMF, you may choose from among more than 50 professionally-directed ensembles and classes every day.

The vast diversity of our programs allow our students to explore far more musical options than they possibly could during the school year.

In addition to the traditional "band camp" fare of large ensembles, but provide exciting opportunities in chamber music, advanced-level jazz, technical workshops, and courses offered nowhere else.

Every single course is led by our high-calibre faculty of working creative professionals, providing NYSMF students with daily one-on-one coaching that truly helps them achieve incredible personal musical heights.

Students can earn COLLEGE CREDIT* in specific courses during the summer. And thanks to our gracious host, SUNY Oneonta, students may also enroll in the college's summer courses as well!

*One to three hours of credit from the State University of New York, College at Oneonta (SUCO) may be awarded to students that successfully complete all qualifying class and individual instruction assignments as determined by the Festival Staff. Students may also enroll in and take regular SUCO courses for an additional fee. Please contact us for more information.
