Work Study Opportunities:
NYSMF Counseling Staff
NYSMF's
wonderful counseling staff is made up of tremendous young
musicians of college age. Most are matriculated at major
music schools and conservatories around the country, including
the Hartt School, the Crane School, Temple University, Missouri,
Indiana, Cincinnati, Carnegie-Mellon, Ithaca, Fredonia, Ohio
State, Oberlin, Wesleyan, Skidmore, and Harvard, among many
others.
NYSMF
enjoys a high counselor-to-student ratio, ensuring there
will always be a "big brother" or a "big sister" available
to help with any of life's little problems, as well as being
fully qualified to coach top-quality musical ensembles.
Many
of our counselors were once campers and students themselves.
They all fully understand the rule, policies, and exacting
standards of NYSMF behavior, and stand ready to assist the
faculty, conductors, visiting artists, and administration
in making NYSMF the finest, friendliest, and most memorable
summer experience ever.
