We are officially located at 108 Ravine Parkway Oneonta, NY 13820. Use that address if you are plugging into Google Maps, Mapquest, etc. Detailed directions can be found below.
IMPORTANT: Students 14 years of age or younger are not qualified to travel unaccompanied on Amtrak (train) or Adirondack Trailways (bus) vehicles.
BY CAR:
From North or East
New York State Thruway (I-87 / I-90)
Exit 25A to I-88 West
Exit 15 off of I-88
RIGHT onto Foster/Lettis Highway, which will become Maple Street.
LEFT onto Center Street.
RIGHT onto West Street.
RIGHT at the “SUNY College at Oneonta” sign onto Ravine Parkway and into the campus
From South or West
New York State Thruway (I-90) East, to I-81 South, OR:
Route 17 to Binghamton
Exit to I-88 East
Exit 15 off of I-88
LEFT onto Foster/Lettis Highway, which will become Maple Street.

BY BUS:
Adirondack Trailways (800) 776-7548 is the primary (and possibly only) bus company that stops in Oneonta, so please contact them for fare and schedule information. NYSMF offers free pickup/dropoff service to the Oneonta Bus Terminal, located in downtown Oneonta. Please email us when you will be arriving and departing, and we will make the arrangements. Or just call our main office when you arrive.
BY TRAIN:
Amtrak’s nearest station to Oneonta, NY and NYSMF is located in Schenectady, New York. There is also a station at Albany-Rensselaer, New York. Both are approximately 60 miles away from Oneonta. If you travel by train, you will need to arrange your own taxi service from one of these stations to Oneonta.

For International travelers:
If you are a student traveling a very long distance to join us this summer, you might be booking a flight to John F. Kennedy (JFK )International Airport or LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in New York City. These airports are at least 225 miles away from Oneonta, NY. It’s possible to commute from New York City to Oneonta, NY via these three steps:
1) AIRPORT -> PORT AUTHORITY BUS TERMINAL
After disembarking from your plane, take a shuttle bus to PORT AUTHORITY BUS TERMINAL in New York City. Several low-cost shuttle bus companies will take you directly into the station.
2) PORT AUTHORITY -> BUS TO ONEONTA
Adirondack Trailways is the primary bus company that goes from New York City directly to Oneonta. CLICK HERE for schedules.
3) FREE PICKUP IN ONEONTA
NYSMF offers free pickup/dropoff service to the Oneonta Bus Terminal, located in downtown Oneonta. Please email us well in advance of the time that you will be arriving and departing, and we will make the arrangements.
