The New York Summer Music Festival
An Introduction to one of the Finest Music Camps in the World

The New York Summer Music Festival is a six-week summer program that challenges every one of its students to achieve their highest levels of musicianship.

NYSMF distinguishes itself from other "band camps" though its philosophy of top-level instruction & performance for the serious young musician, combined with all the fun and friendship of a great summer camp.

At NYSMF this summer, you will find yourself soloing in a jazz combo ... playing in a full-sized orchestra next to a professional musician ... singing in a 200-strong choir ... and all of that before lunch!

    Our highly talented faculty and Visiting Artists are drawn from the top musical institutions around the world, including: • Curtis Institute of Music • The Manhattan School of Music • The Philadelphia Orchestra • Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Basel, Switzerland) • The Juilliard School • The New York Pops Orchestra • The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra • The Harlem Boys Choir
  • Professional-Level Performance.
    More than 50 performing ensembles & classes.
    Over 30 concerts every summer.

    Up to 200 students every session (more than 300 per season!), coming from twenty states across America and ten nations worldwide.

NYSMF accepts students of all musical levels, ranging from as young as 10 years old and as old as 25. and provide them with an intense, challenging, and rewarding summer of music.
