Available in both Sessions I and II
Each summer, the Yamaha Corporation of America generously grants NYSMF the full use of a complete quintet of their “Silent Electric,” or SV Strings. All NYSMF participants are welcome to use any of these instruments at no additional charge. Yamaha also generously sponsors a special Visiting Artist for special SV String presentations and performances. NYSMF students have embraced these instruments in jazz combos, jazz ensembles, chamber music groups, and student composers have even com- posed original works written especially for these unique instruments.
