summer festival -- the NYSMF INTERNATIONAL
FLUTE INSTITUTE.
Offered
exclusively for only two weeks (Session III: Jul 23-Aug
4, 2007) at the New York Summer Music Festival, the International
Flute
Institute
is
a brand-new program
open to truly outstanding
flute
students
from
all around
the world. It is a chance of a lifetime to work 1-on-1,
every single day, with many of the world's finest flute
performers,
teachers, and composers.
ADVANCED MUSICAL
AND PERSONAL GOALS The
goals of the NYSMF IFI will more than challenge even
the world's finest young flutists. Successful applicants to
the program will enjoy:

HIGHLY
LIMITED ENROLLMENT
A
maximum of TWENTY TOP FLUTE STUDENTS will be accepted into
the NYSMF IFI. There are no age requirements, but students
must submit an audition tape to apply for this program.

of Achievement signed by the Flute Institute faculty

Lecture on the topic of "Studying Music Abroad"
Included in this Special Lecture will be tips on how
to prepare for the interviews and
general information on opportunities and features of studying
abroad.

Practical English Classes for International Students
In
addition, NYSMF IFI
students will have the opportunity to participate in the more
than 50 performing ensembles
and classes offered daily
in the regular NYSMF program. This will help the students
to improve their musical spirits
in
wide
range.
TUITION
AND FEES
In
addition to all regular fees, the tuition cost of attending
the NYSMF IFI is $3,000 (US). Tuition includes the following
exclusive IFI activities:
- Six
(6) Private Lessons. (2 with Michel Rousseau, 2 with
Linda Chesis, 1 each with Esther Yoon Young Lee and
Yui Kyung Park)
- Daily
IFI Master Classes & Ensembles
- Exclusive
NYSMF IFI Flute
Choir Performances at both NYSMF and the Cooperstown
Chamber Music Festival
- Master
Class with Visiting Artist Gary Shocker (audition required)
