What is NYSMF?

NYSMF is a six-week long summer music festival, attended by over 300 talented young music students. Hosted by the State University College at Oneonta in Oneonta, New York (just 3.5 hours northwest of New York City and 1 hour west of Albany, NY), NYSMF students are drawn from more than 20 states and a dozen countries.

Every day, you will find exciting, challenging, and incredibly rewarding musical experiences, from classical to jazz, band to orchestra, chamber music to big band combos.

Most of all, you will spend the whole summer playing, working, and living alongside people who love music as much as you do. You'll find friendships here that will last for your entire life.
