In this exciting course, participating students will actually recive a genuine ProTools Certification upon successful completion of this course.
Pro Tools is the industry standard for professional-level audio recording, and specialists are in demand not only in musical fields, but also in audio engineering, film, television, and any business that requires any kind of recording technology.
The program will be led by Dr. Orlando Legname, Chair of the SUNY Oneonta Music Department and Director of its Audio Arts Production Program.
Students will learn how to complete a Pro Tools project from initial setup to final mixdown, from recording live instruments to MIDI sequencing of software synthesizers.
In
addition, NYSMF Pro Tools
students will have the opportunity to participate in the more
than 50 performing ensembles
and classes offered daily
in the regular NYSMF program.

- The
cost of attending the NYSMF Pro Tools Certification Course is $400, in addition to all regular NYSMF tuition and fees.
- Students will be required to purchase the official Pro Tools Certification textbook. It will be available from the on-campus bookstore upon arrival. You may purchase it beforehand and bring it to campus with you. More details will be announced prior to your arrival.
