In addition to daily ensemble rehearsals, NYSMF students have a huge variety
of other courses that they can choose to take.
The NYSMF Daily Schedule is separated into nine"Blocks". Students are expected to fill their entire day with at least one ensemble or
class in each block. Time may also be set aside for practicing.
The schedule is subject to change at any time, even mid-session, as necessary
to accomodate Visiting Artist Masterclasses, concerts, alien
attacks, etc.
Weekend Schedules
- Fridays – The final Friday of each session requires a special schedule for the performances
scheduled for that day.
- Saturdays – Saturdays require special schedules for classes, concerts, and group recreational
activities.
- Sundays – Students are free to attend religious services (if desired), participate in
recreational activities, and to practice. Performances are
scheduled on each middle Sunday of each session.
Due to our ever growing lineup of programs, courses, etc., the Daily Schedule
is subject to change at any time. Generally it changes when we add great new stuff, trim stuff that we thought would be great but didn't strike everyone's fancy, or invent other stuff just to play with people's minds. (Not too much of that last one happens, fear not!) |
