Practical Acting Workshop / Acting Techniques
Open to students of all ages, this workshop will expose the secrets and realities
of professional acting. Ranges from beginning coaching to being a
daily masterclass in advanced acting techniques for the ambitous
young actor. Students will be coached individually to explore and
develop their acting skills using directed improvisation, script
analysis, character psychology, and other extremely useful exercises
for a working actor.
Performing both on- and off-camera, students will work from actual film and TV
scripts to learn stage presence, how to work with cameras and audiences,
how to analyze and break down a script, and how to substantially
improve their own performances.
Instructor Keisuke Hoashi will also coach each student individually, helping
him or her to apply the same performance principles to musical performances
during the festival.
